Professional Development Courses
Courses/Seminars
These general interest courses have been developed by experienced instructors and subject matter experts from higher education and industry. Standard courses range from 20 to 50 hours of instruction whereas seminars range from 5 to 20 hours. These courses are designed for a general audience and do not assume prior knowledge of the subject matter.
These learning opportunities offer a great way to gain knowledge about a variety of topics at your own pace and are quite popular with learners who want to experience the online environment without the commitments and assessments of a scheduled class.

eConcordia
These courses provide an authentic higher education learning experience in a variety of subjects. Learners will be immersed in a virtual class environment (along with university students) and will have access to a course instructor and teaching assistants for feedback on their questions and assessments throughout the semester.
However, students enrolled in professional development courses are not required to complete the assessments unless they would like to receive a letter of completion from eConcordia (should they pass the course). All courses are developed by experienced instructors from Concordia University (Montréal, Québec). These courses adhere to the same enrolment deadlines as Concordia University, including the length of the semester in which they are offered. These courses do not count toward a university degree (no university credit is awarded).
