Recipient of the 2005 Excellence and Innovation in Instructional Design Award

In 2005 eConcordia's Marketing Yourself online course won the award for Excellence and Innovation in Instructional Design from The Canadian Association for Distance Education (CADE).

This award is presented to a project that is relevant and contributes to the support of open and distance education within the K-12 and post-secondary sectors. The purpose is to award a project that has demonstrated best practices in instructional design, typically with a special focus on innovative uses of educational media or technology.

Recipients of the 2004, 2005 and 2010 John Molson School of Business Distinguished Teaching Award & 2010 President's Award for Excellence in Teaching

Marketing Professor Jordan Le Bel was the recipient of the JMSB Distinguished Teaching Award for full-time faculty in 2005 and 2010. He also was the 2010 recipient of Concordia's President's Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Marketing Professor Harold Simpkins was the recipient of the JMSB Distinguished Teaching Award for full-time faculty in 2004.

The Distinguished Teaching Awards were established by the JMSB in 1987 to recognize professors who achieve excellence in their teaching activities. Two awards are to be given each year, one for full-time faculty and one for part-time faculty. A selection committee reviews all the dossier submitted by nominees for the award and selects the recipients based on their a number of criteria, including teaching philosophy, students' evaluations of teaching performance, curriculum development, supervision and mentoring or students, and contribution to the enhancement of the quality of teaching at the JMSB and Concordia University.
